BMS raises awareness of studying medicine

Manama, Apr. 2 (BNA): Bahrain Medical Society (BMS), in cooperation with the Ministry of Education (MoE) and National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA), held a meeting for high school students who want to study medicine. Dr. Ghada Al Qassim, President of BMS, explained the main objectives of the society one of which is to in light the students on the proper way in choosing a medical collage recognised by MoE in Bahrain or abroad. Dr. Zubaida Al Shaikh from NHRA explained NHRA’s role, which is to hire and license the well-qualified doctors with accredited medical certifications by MoE. Two medical students, one from Arabian Gulf University (AGU), and another from Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), presented their journeys as medical students. Dr. Ghada praised MoE and NHRA for their cooperation to participate in the meeting and their continues efforts to raise awareness in studying medicine.
