Razer’s Face Mask Line In Singapore Now Operational
SINGAPORE, April 24 (Bernama) – Gaming company, Razer today announced that Singapore's first fully-automated mask production is now operational within 24 days of initiating the project.
In a statement here, Razer said the announcement followed the initial 30-day target set by its chief executive officer Min-Liang Tan.
Due to the lack of high quality and reliably manufactured face masks in the market, as well as the lack of face masks in Southeast Asia, Razer said it was committed to setting up the production line within 30 days from April 1, 2020.
The demand for face masks had also increased in recent times due to the call by global government health bodies for citizens to wear mask at all times, it said.
Razer said the mask line was fully automated and expected to have a manufacturing capacity of approximately five million masks per month and can be scaled up if required.
The statement said Razer has been actively contributing toward the fight against COVID-19, including donating up to a million face masks globally to Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and the United States.
Founded in 2005, the company has dual headquarters in Irvine, California, USA, and Singapore.
