Sheikh Joaan Participates in ANOC Executive Council Meeting

Madrid, March 31 (QNA) - HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani, Senior Vice-President of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC), President of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC), participated in the 87th meeting of the Executive Council ANOC, which was held Friday Madrid, Spain.
Attended by ANOC President Robin Mitchell and members of the Executive Council, the meeting discussed a number of current issues, and developed appropriate solutions to ensure the continuous development of the Olympic movement. It also weighed up ways to enhance Olympic solidarity between the National Olympic Committees, and raise awareness of the importance of applying sustainability in sporting events.
The meeting, also reviewed the latest developments related to the second World Beach Games slated for August in Bali, Indonesia in addition to discussing a number of topics on the agenda and taking appropriate decisions in their regard. (QNA)
