Asia-Pacific Beach Volleyball Championship Ends
Palembang, S Sumatra, April 22 (Antara) - The Asia Pacific Beach Volleyball Tournament ended here on Monday in which Australian men`s team grabbed gold medal after defeating Indonesian pair.
Australian men`s pair, Sam Boehm/Cole Durant of Australia 1 defeated the Indonesian Dian Eka/Andy Ardiansyah with score 2-0 (21-13, 21-15).
Meanwhile, Thai women`s pair, Varapatsorn Radarong/Tanarattha Udomchavee (Thailand 1) defeated the Australian women`s pair Mariafe Artacho/Jessyka Ngauamo (Australia 1) with score 2-1 (21-18, 18-21, 15-11).
Eight countries are taking part in the 3th South Sumatra Governor Cup Asia Pacific Beach Volleyball Tournament which lasted from April 19 through 22, 2013. The participants were fighting for the US 30,000 dollar prize.
The eight countries are Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, Kazakhstan, Iran, Japan, and Indonesia.
The past two series of the Asia Pacific Beach Volleyball Tournament were held in Thailand namely Thailand Samila Open and Thailand Khanom Open.
