Casio is AFF Suzuki Cup 2020 Official Timekeeper

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 7 (Bernama) -- Leading consumer electronics manufacturer Casio has been announced as the official timekeeper for AFF Suzuki Cup 2020. The ASEAN Football Federation (AFF), in a statement Wednesday, said Casio has signed a contract to be the football tournament’s official timekeeper with its G-SHOCK brand of shock-resistant watches. "...the deal will provide Casio with the opportunity to demonstrate its flair in combining fashion with sports, and showcase its innovation and unique expertise in wearable technology," the statement said. As the official timekeeper, Casio will enjoy extensive brand exposure across the tournament’s platforms, including on perimeter advertising boards, event backdrops and signage, official tournament collaterals, and the event’s digital channels. Casio will also be able to leverage the tournament’s multiple touchpoints to promote its innovative products through on-screen exposure and in-stadia commercials at each match, as well as promotional fan activities around the matches. As part of the sponsorship, Casio will feature a branded countdown clock on the official event website, an animated clock face on TV graphics, and branding on the referee board for precise timekeeping. The AFF recently announced that the AFF Suzuki Cup 2020, which was originally scheduled to take place in November and December this year, will be held from April 11 to May 8, 2021, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. -- BERNAMA
