Dancers from Kyrgyzstan bag two gold medals at int’l tournament

Bishkek, Feb.26, 2020. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan has earned four medals at the 2020 Latin Quarter Cup international ballroom dancing tournament in Russia. There are two gold, silver and bronze medals, the press service of Kyrgyzstan’s DanceSport Federation reported. The competition, attended by 2,528 couples from 21 countries, took place in Russia’s Krasnogorsk city. In the Rising stars RS Junior 2 + 1, the Latin American Program Open Class category domestic couple Dmitry Blinkov and Asal Mambetova became the best out of 88 couples, winning the gold medal. Another dance duo Howard Cholponbayev and Aibike Nurlanova won the silver in the "Rising Stars of RS Junior 2+1, European Program Open Class category. Adult dance couple Alexander Shefler and Kristina Melnikova in the Adults, up to A class, Latin American program category were placed on the third step of the podium.
