Defence Ministry of RK supports CSKA

Almaty, March 07, 2009 (Khabar) - The Ministry for Defence of the Republic is planning to bail out the Central Sports Club of the Army or CSKA. Such a statement was made by Danial Akhmetov as he visited the CSKA sports complex located in Almaty. The minister also announced that the armed forces have some specialists who are able to reach good results in the shortest possible time. CSKA athletes, according to Danial Akhmetov, should form a part of the Republic’s national sides and perform at world and Asian championships as well as the Olympic Games. The amount of money to be allocated for the sports club will soon be significantly increased. Some more attention is also to be paid on the sports college. The Ministry is planning to reconstruct the educational institution and renew its equipment. Children’s sport is to be extensively developed as well. Danial Akhmetov also noted that the Defence Ministry and the armed forces needed to improve its contact with CSKA.

- We want the sports college to release skilled athletes. This year alone, we are to complete the construction of 6 gyms and each military division will also have its own sports instructor. It will require us to recruit a lot of professionals as any military preparation is based on sports. Here, we can see a good opportunity to link CSKA and military sports teams.
