Deputy CDMs For Vietnam Para Games Named, Yet To Be Officially Appointed

KUALA LUMPUR, April 28 (Bernama) -The Malaysian Paralympic Council (MPM) has unofficially selected two individuals to assume the duties of Deputy Chefs de Mission (CDM) of their contingent to the 2021 Vietnam ASEAN Para Games , scheduled for the end of this year. Its president Megat D. Shahriman Zaharudin said that the two individuals in question were one of MPM's vice presidents namely Noor Syahieda Mat Shah and the other the chairman of the National Athletes' Welfare Foundation (Yakeb), Noorul Ariffin Abdul Majeed. "The official announcement will be made at the MPM executive council meeting after Aidilfitri," he told reporters at a breaking of fast event organised by MPM last night. On April 6, Megat D. Shahriman had announced the appointment of former military officer Colonel (Rtd) Md Nor Azam Ariffin as the CDM to the Games, which will be held in Hanoi from Dec 17 to 23. -- BERNAMA
