DEPUTY MINISTER THANKS JUNIOR BASKETBALL PLAYERS

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Culture, Sports and Tourism Deputy Minister M.Tumenjargal thanked Wednesday Mongolian basketball junior teams for their successful participation in a world tournament in Beijing. Our teams of boys and girls were placed the fifth and 11th respectively in the World Schools 3x3 Basketball Championship of the International School Sports Federation that took place in China on May 21-26. The teams manager G.Ikhbayar praised skills of the players "who, not being taller of their opponents, had showed high quality matches, and this became a valuable experience". The results have proven chances of international success for Mongolians when a proper support is rendered, he added. At the meeting present was also Kh.Bakhytjan, a head of the Regulatory Department for Implementation of Policy on Physical Culture and Sport Affairs.
