FAM Approve Application Of 26 Foreign Players
KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 23 (Bernama) -- The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM)
has approved the registration of 26 foreign players who will feature among teams
playing in the M-League next season.
According to a statement from the FAM, the competitions committee that met
Thursday had deliberated the application of 35 import players submitted
by state and club teams competing in the Premier and Super League competitions.
The approval for the 26 players was given based on the terms and guidelines
set by FIFA.
"The approval for 26 players included approval for four players whose
International Transfer Certificate (ITC) has yet to be received," said the
statement.
The application of seven players was not approved because their application
did not meet the requirements while two applications were withdrawn.
Among the players who will feature in the Premier and Super League
competition are Marlon James, Bruno Sebastian Martelotto for Armed Forces; Esseh
Sodjine Sougan Adah (Johor), Danilo Rafael Dos Santos Vivaldo (Kedah), Mohamad
Ghaddar, Dennis Agayare, Emmanuel Ayaah Okine (Kelantan) and Ramez Dayoub
(Selangor).
The four players approved pending their ITC are Daniel Soares Neves (Kedah),
Mbele Lelo (Selangor), Evans Chusilo (MP Muar) and Christian Contes (Perlis).
The seven applications rejected were Richard Offiong (Johor), Tito Fernando
Da Silva Pinto, Tiago Lima Leal (Johor FC), Bianchi Parades Santiago (Felda
United), Marquen Nuquen Goncalves (Negeri Sembilan), Sergey Ivanov (Pahang) and
