OFFICIAL SEND OFF FOR MONGOLIAN ATHLETES TO PYEONGCHANG 2018 HELD

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolian team send off ceremony for PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympic Games took place in the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports on February 1. Member of Parliament, B.Bat-Erdene, Hero of Labor of Mongolia, has been appointed as the head of the National team to participate in the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympic Games. He was participating in the Summer Olympic Games in the years of 1988, 1992 and 2000 as Mongolian flag bearer. Mongolian national team comprised B.Achbadrakh in the men’s 10km cross-country skiing, Ch.Otgontsetseg in the women’s 15km and B.Ganbold in the skiing event of the Paralympic Games will compete in the events. During the ceremony, Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports Ts.Tsogzolmaa addressed to the athletes. "Law on physical culture and sports was revised and approved in 2017. The law has entered into force starting from this year. In connection, the Ministry is working on promoting the law to the public. The Ministry is also paying attention to have instructors to reach 336 soums of Mongolia." She noted, “Congratulations to our athletes who has recently qualified to compete in the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympic Games representing Mongolia. Moreover, we would like to express our gratitude to the Mongolian Ski Association and athletes for making effort to continue Mongolia’s participation in the Winter Olympic Games,” she said.
