PRIME MINISTER MEETS ATHLETES FOR CONGRATULATION

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh received Secretary General of the Mongolian National Olympic Committee E.Badar-Uugan, Secretary General at the Mongolian United Powerlifting Federation D.Battulga, State Honored Athletes E.Sodnompiljee and D.Otgondalai on March 14. The Prime Minister emphasized that the whole nation proud of the athletes when the Mongolian national anthem is played at the Continental and World Championships thanks to their great achievements. He also wished success to the athletes. A silver medalist of the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games E.Sodnompiljee became the World Champion at the World Para Powerlifting World Cup. It was his third time he became the World Champion. E.Sodnompiljee recently set a new historical record lifting 236kg in bench press category in the National Bench-press Powerlifting Championships while a bronze medalist of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and bronze medalist of the Asian Boxing Championship 2017 D.Otgondalai grabbed a bronze medal from the the 2017 AIBA World Boxing Championships was held in Hamburg, Germany.
