Professional MMA league of Kyrgyzstan - Professional League-PFL KG - has opened in Kyrgyzstan, President of the professional MMA league Daniyar Beishenaliyev told at a press conference at the Kabar News Agency. The goal of the organization is to introduce the newest selection system for fighters to participate in MMA tournaments in Kyrgyzstan. At the first stage, athletes who have experience in professional and amateur fights are allowed to participate in tournaments, then selection of their performance in license MMA tournaments is provided for in higher-level competitions. Beishenaliyev said that amateur MMA is represented by two organizations in the world: the World Mixed Martial Arts Association - WMMAA and the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation - IMMAF, which include the Federation of MMA and Pankration of Kyrgyzstan. “This year, both of these organizations announced their merger, in order to represent MMA in the world together, to achieve recognition by the World Olympic Committee by 2020 and to take part in the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 2028 for the first time. And as you understand, one of the conditions for participation in the Olympic Games is the participation of amateurs in them, which is why our Federation can represent only athletes of amateur MMA at the championships held under the auspices of WMMAA IMMAF. Therefore, it was decided to create a professional MMA league of Kyrgyzstan - PFL KG,” he said, emphasizing that this sport gathers entire stadiums. Kyrgyzstan has talented sportsmen who represent the country on the world stage, in this regard, the league will train top-level fighters so that the level of professionalism can be seen. “In the future, athletes will be able to draw up contracts, contracts. The fighters will be more socially protected, the fights will be paid for. At present, the maximum fee is $ 1,000,” the President added. General Secretary of the MMA Federation Alexander Golenko told that the tournaments will be held in all regions of the country. “We held several tournaments among juniors, the championship of the republic in Jalal-Abad. Sport is beginning to be popularized, we decided to promote sport in the regions. The Asian Championship was held, and preparations are underway for the World Cup in Bahrain,” he stressed. The task of the PFL KG is not to make “titles” and organize the distribution of “champion belts”, but to attract top level fighters who show their best qualities in the ring of mixed martial arts. A championship and a professional tournament will be held at Kozhomkul Kaba uulu Sports Palace already on November 2 and 3. Vice President of the organization Abasbek Dorombaev stressed that on October 20-21, an amateur championship will be held in Kant, later in Kara-Balta. The head coach of the professional league Talantbek Baisalov told that anyone can enter the league. “The matchmaker will work, will select athletes so that the athletes are strong, will also train. The fee depends on the qualification. Contracts with the best fighters will be drawn up for a year, under which the fee will be issued as a stipend so that they can provide themselves with accommodation, food, during training,” he said. It is noted that the PFL KF tournaments from this year will be held according to the Grand Prix system with the loser eliminated. According to the results, the winners will be included in the PFL ASIA international mixed martial arts tournaments.
