Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ Mongolian judoists won medals from the 13th Asian Youth and the Asian Junior Judo Championships which ran on September 28-30 in Taipei. U.Duurenbayar grabbed a gold medal in the men's +100 kg category at the youth's division; B.Gankhaich (women's 63 kg) won a silver medal. Bronze medals went to Ts.Tsogtbaatar (men's 50 kg), B.Sumyabazar (men's 55 kg), G.Balsanlhundev (men's 66 kg), E.Erdenebileg (men's 81 kg) and Ts.Khulan (women's 55 kg). Thanks to claiming these medals, the Mongolian men's team took 3rd place out of 23 countries. ** ** ** An international master and Women's grandmaster B.Mongontuul took 6th place in the Sixth series of the FIDE Women's Grand Prix 2011-2012 that ran on September 16-28 in Ankara, Turkey. In the 11th game, B.Mongontuul defeated Ju Wenjun, a FIDE women's grandmaster from China, and had draws with Koneru Humpy (India), Viktorija Cmilyte (Lithuania) and Ruan Lufei (China). She lost only once in the 3rd game at the series. Thanks to the results, B.Mongontuul augmented her FIDE rating by 14 points. The Indian grandmaster Koneru Humpy took the first place at the series, followed by Anna Muzychuk of Slovenia and Zhao Xue of China. B.Khuder
