Tourism Malaysia Offers 700 Free F1 Tickets To Thai Tourists

By JAMALUDDIN MUHAMMAD BANGKOK, March 12 (Bernama) – In an effort to promote tourism, Tourism Malaysia will offer 700 free F1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix 2012 tickets to Thais and foreigners. Tourism Malaysia's Thailand Office director Iskandar Mirza Mohd Yusof said those who have purchased flight tickets or tour packages to Malaysia during the grand prix weekend from March 23 to March 25 are eligible for the free tickets. "We have received good respond from Thais, foreigners and travel agents in this country. Most of the tickets have been given away and there are about 100 tickets still available," he said, here Monday. Iskandar Mirza said grandstand tickets for the two-day race costs about RM600 (US$197). Tour operators in this country have offered packages including hotel, flight and transfer from airport to hotel and hotel to Sepang International Circuit, he said. --BERNAMA
