UB TO HOST ASIAN UNIVERSITY CHAMPIONSHIPS OF WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ Ulaanbaatar city will host the Asian University Championships for Women's Volleyball on April 9-15, 2012. A right to host the competitions has been awarded to Mongolia in accordance with a decision of the Asian University Sports Federation (AUSF). The Minister of Health S.Lambaa will lead the competitions' organizing committee. Head of the State Department of Physical Culture and Sports Ch.Naranbaatar has been appointed as a chairman of the organizing committee, whereas the secretary-general of the Mongolian University Sports Federation (MUSF)--as the committee's organizing committee. In accordance with the AUSF's rule, the upcoming competitions will run under a rule of the International Volleyball Federation (IVF), and will be led by a group of international experts from the Asian Volleyball Federation (AVF). As of present, eight countries including Mongolia have applied for taking part in the competitions. Teams from Japan, Chinese Taipei and Hong Kong are expected to compete in the tournament. B.Khuder
