Sultanate of Oman Appreciates the Cooperation of Saudi Authorities in Facilitating the Evacuation of Omani Nationals from Sudan

Muscat, April 30, 2023, SPA -- The ministry of foreign affairs of the Sultanate of Oman has expressed appreciation of the authorities concerned of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their cooperation in facilitating the evacuation of Omani nationals from Sudan via Jeddah using Royal Saudi Naval Forces vessels.
In a statement, the ministry also extended its appreciation of the Arab Republic of Egypt for allowing a number of Omanis who opted to enter the country through Egyptian land inlets.
In addition to its citizens stranded in Sudan due to the recent fighting in the country, Oman has also evacuated a number of Sudanese families working or residing in it.
The ministry said efforts are being exerted to evacuate others who are still lagging behind in several Sudanese cities.
