'Sustainable Transportation and Legacy for Generations' Conference & Exhibition Sponsors Highlight Reinforcing Sustainability, Environmental, Social Governance

 
Doha, August 29 (QNA) - Sponsors of the 'Sustainable Transportation and Legacy for Generations' Conference and Exhibition that will be held from Sep. 17-18 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) stressed the importance of laying solid foundations to achieve a complete transformation of the transport system, and to strengthen the state's efforts to improve the quality of life and preserve a healthy environment, noting the importance of developing initiatives related to environmental and social sustainability and governance in a manner consistent with approved international standards. The sponsors indicated that the 'Sustainable Transportation and Legacy for Generations' Conference and Exhibition would serve as a platform that brings together companies in the transportation sector in the State of Qatar under one umbrella, pointing out that this event would provide an opportunity to enhance cooperation and achieve common strategic goals in the field of sustainable transport. On this occasion, HE Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker said: "Qatar Airways Group is proud to be the Strategic Sponsor of this landmark effort by the Ministry of Transport (MOT). Bringing together key national transportation stakeholders to this 'Sustainable Transportation and Legacy for Generations' Conference and Exhibition will highlight Qatar's latest achievements in the transportation industry." In turn, Executive Vice President - Public Relations at QNB Group Salem Anzan Al Nuaimi said: "this event further emphasizes our partnership with MOT and highlights all the sustainable initiatives that come in support of the Qatar National Vision 2030. It also emphasizes our continuous efforts towards all initiatives related to sustainability and environmental governance, being a core pillar to the group's strategy and goals."
