Symposium On Pillars Of National Identity In Poetry Of Founder At Doha Book Fair

Doha, June 19 (QNA) - The cultural salon of the Qatari Forum for Authors organized a symposium entitled 'components and pillars of the Qatari national identity in the poetry of Sheikh Jassim', as part of the cultural events of the 32nd Doha International Book Fair which is held under the slogan "With Reading We Rise" and will be concluded on Wednesday. Researcher and historian Khaled bin Ghanem Al Ali spoke during the symposium that was presented by academic and researcher in history Dr. Ali Afifi Ali Ghazi, in the presence of a large audience at the book fair. The lecturer dealt with the components and pillars of the Qatari identity and cited historical events experienced by the people of Qatar as well as through the poems of the founder, Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani, and linked that to the collective memory.
