Table Tennis: Qatar Claims Youth Doubles Title, Al Arabi Wins Youth Singles

Doha, February 20 (QNA) - Qatar Club claimed the youth doubles title of table tennis championship for the 2022-2023 sports season, which was concluded at the Preparation and Training Center Hall in Ras Abu Abboud on Monday. Al Arabi Club through player Rawad Akram Al Nasr managed to win the title of the youth singles competition, few days after they were crowned the winner of the junior singles title. The two tournaments saw strong competitions between the players of all clubs under the Qatar Table Tennis Association (QTTA). The draw divided players starting from the round of 32. Under the game's system, winners qualify directly for the next round. Recently, Qatar Club duo Ahmed Eid Qarni and Youssef Ahmed Abdelzaher won the title of the junior doubles championship, after winning the final match against the Al Arabi Club duo Rawad Al Nasr and Adi Aroura with 3-1. The winners were crowned by QTTA Executive Director Mohammed Ahmed Al Rumaihi who praised the technical level of all players and the strong performance in the tournament. (QNA)
