Crescentrating Launches Mobile App For In-Flight Prayer Times Calculator

SINGAPORE, Aug 13 (Bernama) -- Crescentrating Pte Ltd, a pioneer in Halal Travel, Tuesday launched the "Crescent Trips" Apple iOS mobile application, for its in-flight Prayer Time Calculator. The application enables users to calculate the prayer times as well as the prayer direction on their flight path using the web-based Prayer Time calculator launched last year. The mobile application is designed as an air travel trip planner for users to organise themselves according to the destination, and access prayer times and prayer direction in offline mode while in the air. It also includes a collection of Islamic travel dua(s) (supplications) in Arabic text and audio playback along with its English translation. Crescentrating chief executive officer, Fazal Bahardeen said after a year of trials using the calculator, the company was excited to release a beta version of the mobile app. "There was a lot of feedback on the calculator and we integrated relevant features into the mobile app. It now is easier for Muslim travellers to use the calculator," he said at the launch. Fazal said the company is also planning to release the android version as well as bring in new features over the next few months.
