Crown Prince Wants Perlis To Be Tourist-Friendly State
KANGAR (Perlis, Malaysia), Nov 4 (Bernama) -- Crown Prince of the Malaysian state of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail wants Perlis to become a tourist-friendly state so that visitors will stay longer.
Perlis is the smallest state in Malaysia located at the northern part of the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia.
He said Perlis should not merely be used as a stopover but tourists should be compelled to stay longer and seek to enjoy the beauty of the state.
"Efforts must be made to turn Perlis into a tourist-friendly state to ensure tourists stay longer and enjoy the beauty of the state," he said when launching a Perlis Food Promotion event at Restoren Rasa Sayang belonging to Teddy Chen, a Malaysian from Perak, at Number 5, Macclesfield Street (China Town), London,
Sunday night.
The Crown Prince in his speech also hoped the tourism sector in the state would continue to expand through the implementation of several strategies.
Among them was through the upgrading of promotion to introduce all the unique biodiversities available in the state such as limestone hills, man-made lake and also its fruits including harumanis mango.
