US Appreciates Qatar's Effective International Role, Ambassador To Doha Affirms

Doha, March 14 (QNA) - HE Ambassador of the United States to the State of Qatar Timmy Davis affirmed Tuesday his country's appreciation for the State of Qatar's effective international role, praising at the same time the advanced level of relations between the two friendly countries. Speaking in a panel discussion at the Global Security Forum in Doha, His Excellency said "The State of Qatar has become a force for good, not just regionally but globally", highlighting the bilateral strategic partnership and well-established economic and security relations. The US highly appreciates what the State of Qatar is doing at the regional and international levels, and the humanitarian aid it provides around the world, and this is what the US seeks to confirm for everyone in the US to realize the importance of this relationship, His Excellency said. The State of Qatar plays positive roles in many files at the regional and international levels, and it has a rich and complicated foreign policy, His Excellency added, highlighting the many areas that allow further cooperation, especially in areas where they have great experience. His Excellency praised the remarkable development in the State of Qatar at various levels, and its stability, security and openness to the world as well as the stable and distinctive environment it provides for companies, business and tourism. His Excellency said: "American businesses need to understand this is a place that you can come create relationships, create corporations, and create opportunities that don't exist in other places. "An aisle of stability, of modernity, of culture. That's my selling point. My selling point is there are, you know, I can think of 20 countries in the world that Americans might like to visit. They could visit Qatar instead and get what they were getting in those twenty countries". His Excellency hailed Qatar's successful and incident-free hosting of the World Cup. "We just saw the Qataris put on, inviting the world here incident free. Maybe the best World Cup any of us has seen in our lifetime," His Excellency said. The Global Security Forum, held under the theme "Reshaping the Global Order: Conflict, Crises, and Cooperation" focuses in its fifth edition on the international approach to managing conflicts, crises and cooperation, and includes discussions on topics such as the global energy crisis and the approach to promoting sustainable economies, and the competition of great powers that reached its climax in the Ukraine War, as well as the role of the United Nations Security Council, and other issues.
