Zakat Fund Provides QR 16.9 Million Worth Of Assistance In May

Doha, June 11 (QNA) - The Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs, represented by the Department of Zakat Funds announced that it has provided assistance worth QR 16,865,134 in May 20223. The ministry said in a statement that around 1000 families eligible for assistance have benefited from the aid within Qatar. The aid include periodic and lump-sum aid, all of which are paid by the Department of Zakat Fund for eligible registered families according to Shariah standards and regulations, and the approved mechanisms. The amounts included nearly QR 7,762,059 in monthly aid provided for eligible families, and the lump-sum aid, which is a one-time aid as needed, with the amount of QR 9,103,075. (QNA)
