This photo, taken on March 13, 2023, shows Y-shaped tramways, built during the Japanese colonial rule of Korea (1910-45) and recently discovered while restoring a "woldae" in front of Gwanghwamun, the main gate of Gyeongbok Palace, in downtown Seoul. The streetcar lines existed from 1917-66. A woldae is a stage built with stone in front of ancient gates for royal rituals or ceremonies. (Yonhap)
