KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 3 (Bernama) -- Many foreign tourists visited temples in Batu Caves, located in Gombak district (13 kilometres north of Kuala Lumpur), here Friday to watch preparations for the Thaipusam celebration on Feb 7.

Thaipusam Day is celebrated by the Hindu community worldwide to pay respect to their God, Lord Murugan or also known as Lord Subramaniam. It is a day to fulfill their vows and to seek forgiveness for all sins done.

In their vows they wish for something good from Lord Murugan and if it was accepted, a certain ceremony will be held to show gratitude. (photoBERNAMA)
