Operators of the robot umpire system monitor information and calls being made at a Korea Baseball Futures League game between the Hanwha Eagles and LG Twins in Icheon, 80 kilometers southeast of Seoul, on Aug. 4, 2020. The robot employs a radar-based tracking system that can determine if a ball landed in the strike zone, allowing the electronic umpire to call pitches accurately. The baseball league said the match marks the first time that the system has been used in a South Korean baseball game. (Yonhap)
