KUCHING (Sarawak), Jan 6 (Bernama) -- The Ibans, one of the sub-ethnic groups in East Malaysia state of Sarawak wearing their traditional dress as a way to preserve that community's culture.

Tourism is one of the important sectors in Sarawak's 2012 calendar to attract local and international tourists so that they can recognise the culture and lifestyle of the people in the state.

The promotion on culture and tradition of indigenous community around Sarawak is continuously being held to give a chance to tourists to know the uniqueness of the culture of different clans in Sarawak, dubbed the "Land of the Hornbills". (photoBERNAMA)
