Georgian National Bank’s international reserves increased by $222 million

Georgia, Tbilisi, Sept. 10 / Trend N. Kirtzkhalia / The Georgian National Bank's international reserves have increased by $221.9 million since early 2013. The bank said today that according to the preliminary data, the international reserves of the National Bank as of August 31, 2013 amounted to more than $3.094 billion, which is $46 million more than on July 31, 2013. According to the report, the bank's international reserves in foreign currency hit more than $2.876 billion including more than $1.820 billion placed in securities and more than $1.056 billion at the accounts of foreign banks and the IMF.
