Provincial Governor Underlines Expansion Of Ties With Muslim States

Birjand, Southern Khorasan Province, May 8, IRNA - - Governor General of Southern Khorasan Province Ghahraman Rashid on Tuesday underlined expansion of ties with neighboring Muslim countries. Rashid made the remarks in a meeting with Ambassador to Turkmenistan to Tehran Ahmad Kakabayoch Ghorbanov on the sidelines of the International Forum of Southern Khorasan as a Transit and Development Axis for East in Birjand. Rashid described Iran and Turkmenistan ties after Islamic revolution as friendly and said exchanges of trade delegations and investors between the two countries are as vital for further expansion of ties. He expressed his province’s readiness to welcome Turkmen private sector and investors to invest in Southern Khorassan province and said provincial officials are willing to have direct contact and interactions with Turkmen officials for further expansion of ties. Ghorbanov also expressed his country's willingness to expand ties and cooperation with Iran in different fields of mutual interest. Pointing to Southern Khorassan province’s potentials for establishing friendly relations with the province, he expressed hope the new constructed transportation roads especially rail roads would help development of mutual ties./end
