Legoland To Launch Asia's Largest Lego Star Wars Speed Build Challenge

PETALING JAYA (Selangor, Malaysia) April 12 (Bernama) – The fun continues at Legoland Malaysia Resort with its list of immersive Star Wars experiences, featuring Asia's inaugural and largest 'Lego Star Wars Speed Build Challenge' which is slated for April 21 to May 13. Legoland Malaysia Resort general manager, Kurt Stocks said the three-week Lego Star Wars Days would see participating families taking their skills to the test and build the Star Wars' X-wing Starfighter in the speed-build challenge. A the end of the challenge, the fastest speed builder among all contenders will receive the limited-edition Lego Star Wars 75192 Millennium Falcon set worth RM3,499 autographed by the original designer, Hans Burkhard Schlomer. Other best-selling Lego Star Wars products are also to be given to the winner of the day every Friday and Saturday and on selected days during the Lego Star Wars Days. Interested participants, in a family of two to four persons, just need to register at Lego Mindstorm of Legoland Malaysia theme park, located in Johor Bahru, just across the causeway from Singapore. Stocks also highlighted the theme park’s annual tradition, the largest 'Star Wars Imperial March' in the region, which this year would see the gathering of over 80 costumed fan group members marching down the streets of Legoland Malaysia Resort on April 28 and 29. "The largest Lego Star Wars indoor miniland model display in Asia is only available at Legoland Malaysia Resort, where models are built with over 1.5 million Lego bricks," he said at a media briefing, here, Thursday. Meanwhile, Lego Trading Malaysia country manager, Ronald Kloppenburg said 10 new stock keeping units (SKUs) of Lego Star Wars products would be available for sale starting on April 28, at Legoland Malaysia Resort, Toys “R” Us outlets and eight Lego certified stores in the country.
