Ernst And young Launches Entrepreneurial Winning Women Program
Jakarta, March 20 (Antara) - Ernst and Young, a multinational finance company, has launched the Entrepreneurial Winning Women (EWW) program 2013 to select high potential business run by Indonesian women.
"This is our fourth EWW program to find Indonesian women entrepreneurs who think big and be bold during their business and social activities," said Ernst and Young Country Manager Partner Hari Purwantono here on Wednesday.
Purwantono added as a leading company that gives advisory to entrepreneurs worldwide, Ernst and Young would like to help female entrepreneurs achieve the full potential they envision for their companies through the EWW program.
"Unlike many programs, which are focused on helping women to start a business, Ernst and Young`s EWW program supports women with existing enterprises to scale up and become market leaders," he said.
Meanwhile, Ernst and Young EWW Country Program Manager Sharon Loreta Olich said the EWW applicants who are selected will get benefits to join an elite network of the country`s best entrepreneurial and high-growth companies and participate in a customized program designed by Ernst and Young Business Advisory department.
"We want to give them `the hook, not the bait`(from Indonesian proverb: `berilah kail, bukan umpan`)," she said.
Olich added there are three main problems generally faced by the women entrepreneurs which are taxation, business plan and financial report.
"We will provide a business advisory for the winners of EWW program through a seminar or training," she said.
To keep the independence of the selection process, Ernst and Young will be excluded from the judge panel which includes successful entrepreneurs, investors, business leaders, academicians, regulatory people, and business association, she explained.
The registration of EWW program started on March 20 and will last until June 20, 2013. The committee is looking for individual or nominated applicant who must be either founders or founding partners of business ventures and be at least a 51 percent owner.
The award also requires that the applicant companies must be in operation of minimum five years with minimum sales Rp10 billion in the last two years.
