MCOT Thai-Chinese Youth Cultural Art Festival to tighten Sino-Thai relations

BANGKOK, August 15 (TNA) - MCOT Public Company Limited (MCOT), in collaboration with business alliances, is organizing the "MCOT Thai-Chinese Youth Cultural Art Festival 2017", the first-ever of its kind, to tighten the knot of cultural ties and cooperation between China and Thailand. MCOT President Kematat Paladesh presided over a ceremony to inaugurate the festival at Asiatique The Riverfront in Bangkok on August 14. "As there are over eight million Chinese tourist arrivals in Thailand each year, MCOT has joined forces with the Thai-Chinese Tourism Alliance Association (TCTA), Kingston Pattaya Vocational College and other business networks, to organize the "MCOT Thai-Chinese Youth Cultural Art Festival 2017" for the first time to promote the exchange of cultural and arts and to further strengthen relations between China and Thailand through the performances of about a dozen of over 150-member young Chinese cultural troupes, including those performed by Yang Zhe Cheng, a chubby, charming Chinese kid", said the MCOT president. "There are also performances of five young Thai cultural troupes arranged by the Thai Ministry of Culture, including those on the famous Ramayana", added the MCOT president. According to the MCOT top executive, all the performances are organized simultaneously during 9am-12am at Asiatique The Riverfront and are live broadcast through the digital "Live Streaming" system via www.mcot.net and Facebook Live mcot.net, as well as via China's CIBN media networks and www.weibo.com, which are both accessible to over 100 million viewers.
