Russia to exhibit over 250 military products at Pakistan defense show

MOSCOW, November 22. /TASS/. The Russian state arms exporter Rosoboronexport will for the first time organize an image stand at the IDEAS-2016 defense exhibition in Pakistan to feature over 250 domestic military products, according to the company’s statement obtained by TASS on Tuesday. "We’ll display a wide range of technical and software solutions and means for law-enforcement purposes at the IDEAS-2016 show. Our basic goal is to expand cooperation with Pakistan and other countries of the region in the fight against terrorism," the statement quoted Head of the Rosoboronexport Analysis and Prospective Planning Department Boris Simakin as saying. Simakin is heading Rosoboronexport’s delegation at the IDEAS-2016 defense exhibition in Pakistan. The exhibition has opened in the Pakistani city of Karachi on Tuesday and will last through November 25. "Rosoboronexport will present materials vividly confirming the high characteristics and efficiency of Russian products used in the struggle against this worldwide threat," Simakin said. Rosoboronexport’s exhibition stand features BTR-80A and BTR-82A armored personnel carriers and the BMP-3M infantry fighting vehicle. Russia’s small arms are represented by new-generation Kalashnikov automatic rifles AK-101, AK-102, AK-103 and AK-104 and the Kedr pistol-machinegun. The Russian exposition also displays a SKATT-USB computer simulator for training and practicing fire from various small arms. At the company’s exhibition stand, Rosoboronexport specialists will also present a new large-scale project titled: "Countering Terrorism and Ensuring Law and Order" and designated to reveal the sources of terrorist threats and unlawful actions, carry out anti-terror measures, provide law and order and protect vitally important facilities and the coastal area.
