Skilled labour developed for targeted industries
BANGKOK, Sept 24 (TNA) - The Ministry of Labour plans to produce 10,000 new skilled workers to meet market demand in targeted industries.
Skill development offices nationwide to provide professional training to new workers, starting from 2018 fiscal year which begins from this October 1, said Director-General of Department of Skill Development, Teerapol Khunmuang.
Potential workers will undergo a four-month training given by Skill Development agencies and another two months by private enterprises before they take a test to prove their efficiency.
Under the plan, these new 10,000 workers will fill in position in automotive industry, tourism and service, logistics and high technology industries in special economic zones and the Eastern Economic Corridor project. (TNA)
