Thailand Pavilion showcased at Astana Expo 2017

BANGKOK, June 12 (TNA) - Thailand Pavilion is welcoming international visitors at the International Recognized Exhibition Expo 2017 Astana (Astana Expo 2017), organized in Astana, Kazakhstan's capital during June 10-September 10, 2017, under the theme of "Future Energy". Vice Minister to Energy General Surasak Srisak presided over a ceremony to introduce the Thailand Pavilion at the three-month Astana Expo 2017 on behalf of the Thai Ministry of Energy. The Thailand Pavilion, launched under the theme of "Bioenergy for All" to showcase internationally the Kingdom's potential on the development of renewable energy and the advancement of bioenergy as advised by late His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the Honorably Father of Thailand's energy, is expected to attract at least 500,000 visitors. The Thailand Pavilion is divided into three sections, including the first one on the live exhibition showcasing overviews of the Thai Kingdom under the theme "Our Ways, Our Thai", the second one on three-dimensioned (3D) films on Thailand's Farming the Future Energy depicted by a Thai robotic mascot to publicize the Kingdom's organic future energy and the last one on the “Energy Creation Lab” to display Thailand's nine biomass and bio-energy types, including those produced from sugarcane, eucalyptus, natural rubber, napier grass, rice, corn, animal wastes, tapioca, and oil palm. Over 100 countries and over 10 international organizations participate in the three-month world-class event, equivalent to Olympic Games and FIFA World Cup, expected to attract more than five million international visitors.
