UK Foreign Secretary arrives in Iran

Tehran, Nov 19, IRNA - UK Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Jeremy Hunt heading a delegation arrived in Tehran on Monday to meet Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif. Hunt is also scheduled to hold talks with Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani. Reviewing the future of Iran nuclear deal also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), as well as regional and multilateral issues are in Hunt's itinerary. Zarif and Hunt previously talked on phone on November 5, where the UK secretary of state emphasized the commitment of his country and other parties of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA0) to the agreement. He also urged the prompt implementation of the European Union’s tool for bypassing Iran sanctions, known as Special Purpose Vehicle or SPV, in order to maintain economic collaborations with Iran.
