Ghazanfari: Enemies Attempted To Put Pressure On Iran By Sanctions

Tehran, Sept 6, IRNA – Minister of Industry, Mining and Commerce Mehdi Ghazanfari said on Wednesday that bullying powers attempted to put pressure on Iran by sanctions. He made the remarks in briefing Assembly of Experts. He said that the government has planned to thwart the sanctions by self-sufficiency and resistance economy. He made it clear that the government upholds self-sufficiency and independence to neutralize the sanctions and said that the national economy is strong enough to prove futility of the sanctions. He said that the ill-wishers who had failed to impose effective sanctions over the past three years, they focused on oil, banking, insurance, manufacturing sector, commerce and transport. Prospects of Iran's economy is promising as national economy has gained momentum despite the sanctions and the domestic and foreign trade have increased, he said. The minister also answered the questions posed by the members of Assembly Experts, the leadership body monitoring performance of three branches of government and the Office of the Supreme Leader./end
