Iran FM Meets German, Italian Counterparts

Berlin, Feb 3, IRNA - Iranˈs Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi here on Saturday evening met and conferred with his German and Italian Counterparts. Salehiˈs meetings with Guido Westerwelle of Germany and Italyˈs Giulio Terzi were held on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference. Salehi and Westerwelle discussed avenues for fostering all-out relations as well as the latest international developments. Prior to this meeting, Westerwelle in a joint press conference with EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton expressed satisfaction over participation of Salehi in the Munich Security Conference. ˈI know Salehi very well and we have had a proper and reliable relation in the past years,ˈ Westerwelle said during the press conference. Salehi and his Italian counterpart also called for further promotion of all-out relations. Salehi in separate meetings also held talks with UN special envoy on Syria, Lakhdar Brahimi and Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mighati last night. Salehi arrived in the south German city of Munich on Saturday to address the 49th Munich Security Conference./end
