Iran FM To Pay Official Visit To Tunisia

Tehran, April 19, IRNA – Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said on Wednesday that during his upcoming visit to Tunisia, he would discuss regional developments with his Tunisian counterpart. Speaking to reporters after a cabinet session, Salehi said his two-day visit to Tunisia will take place at the invitation of his Tunisian counterpart. “Ties between Iran and Tunisia are very good and we are determined to further bolster such friendly relations,” he said. The prospect for expansion of economic cooperation between the two countries is very promising, he said. On future talks between Iran and G5+1, he said the details will be revealed in due time. The other side should spare no efforts to win the trust of the Iranian nation as Tehran on several occasions have declared that it is not after nuclear arms, he said. They should prove their sincerity by lifting sanctions in order to win Iran’s trust, he said. Lifting sanctions would help expedite mutual talks in Baghdad, Salehi said. Baghdad conference will be another step forward to resolving nuclear stalemate between the two sides, he said./end
