Iran-Syria Envoys Stress Confronting Plots In Mideast

Madrid, April 29, IRNA – Iranian and Syrian ambassadors in Cuba stressed the need to continue efforts to confront the US and the Zionist regime conspiracies in the Middle East. They also condemned years of wrong performance of western powers against Iran, Syria and the occupied Palestine. They made the remarks at the sideline of a gathering on peace and sovereignty of nations in Madrid. The two diplomats urged the big powers to respect rights of nations in the international arena. They further condemned any kind of foreign interventions in domestic affairs of world countries. The Iranian envoy, Ali Chegeni, said Iran’s enemies are quite aware of the fact that their claims regarding Iran’s nuclear program are not based on truth so they seek to impose sanctions on Iran. He said the main problem the US and the Zionist regime have with Iran is the independence-seeking spirit of the Iranian nation in all areas./end
