Jalili: Survival Of Zionist Regime Most Important Challenge Of US Statesmen

Tehran, Sept 5, IRNA – Secretary of Supreme National Security Council said that nowadays, finding a way for survival of the Zionist regime has turned into the most important challenge of the US statesmen. Speaking in the 12th meeting of the 4th Council of Experts here on Tuesday, Jalili by referring to history of confrontation between the US and the Islamic revolution in the past three decades, stressed that Islamic revolution potential and actual capacity and advantages of Iran in the political, economic, and scientific fields in the world and region, had pushed the USA to passively plan all-out pressures against Iran. Referring to Iran’s achievements, especially in the field of stabilization of religious thought as a ground for demands of people of the region and isolation of the Zionist regime in the world, Jalili said that Iran’s comprehensive authority has created security and stability in the region. He referred to remarks of the one of the former US senior official that the Middle East is a key to dominate the world and the heart of the Middle East is Iran. Jalili continued that although the Americans have used all kinds of threats and pressures against Iranians, Iran has been able to turn Iran discourse in confrontation with the USA and the Zionist regime to a predominant discourse of the regional nations, so that level of hatred of the US in the region is increasing. He divided age of the Zionist regime to a period of 30 years before victory of Islamic revolution and the period of 30 years after the revolution and stressed that the first 30 years was period of victories and successes for the Zionist regime in the wars of 1948 and 1967. But, after victory of Islamic revolution, the Zionist regime, by withdrawing from Lebanese occupied territory and defeat in the 33-day war in Lebanon and 22-day war in Gaza, hope for continuation of the Zionist regime survival is declining. The secretary of SNSC said that Iran strategy for Islamic awakening is upon religious thought, strengthening resistance and stabilizing Islamic unity./end
