NAM Ministerial Meeting Kicks Off In Egypt In Presence Of Iran’s FM

Sharm el-Sheikh, May 9, IRNA – The ministerial meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) started here on Wednesday in the presence of Iran’s Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi and representatives from 120 member countries. A number of other world states as well as several international bodies are also participating in the NAM ministerial meeting. Iran’s foreign minister arrived in Sharm el-Sheikh on Tuesday night to take part in and address the NAM meeting. The two-day NAM ministerial meeting is to examine the latest international and regional developments. All agreements reached between participants in the meeting will be presented to the 16th NAM summit meeting to be held in the Iranian capital late summer. The Islamic Republic of Iran will receive the NAM rotating chairmanship for the next three-year tenure./end
