President-elect Calls For Expansion Of Ties With India

Tehran, July 9, IRNA – Iran's President-elect Hassan Rohani said expansion of ties with India in all fields will be among priorities of his government foreign policy. Rohani made the remarks in response to the felicitation message of Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Appreciating Indian premier message, Rohani expressed confidence that under the auspices of officials of both countries, the two sides will witness more mutual cooperation. According to the report of President-elect Office website, Rohani said that the two great nations of Iran and India have many historical and cultural commonalities and these common points with mutual confidence has always paved the ground for strengthening and developing bilateral ties and establishment of peace and tranquility in the region.
