President: Sustainable Peace Possible By Collective Contribution

Tehran, Sept 5, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Tuesday that sustainable peace would be possible by collective contribution of the international community. Giving a nationwide televised address after assuming leadership of Non-Aligned Movement, President Ahmadinejad said, “Since early in history, human beings have been after prosperity, perfection, progress and welfare and all these are possible in light of durable peace.” He said sustainable peace provides the path for progress in science, technology, industry and fostering friendship. He noted that peace is symbol of all beauties which should prevail and all aspirations of mankind are possible in light of durable peace but not imposed and fragile peace. The president touched on the 16th NAM Summit and said all the world came to understand that NAM is highly important. He said, “The Summit was held at a good time and since it was held in Tehran and the theme of the session was the latest world subject, it came to be outstanding.”/end
