Salehi: Americans Recommended Iran In Pre-revolution Era To Use N-energy

Tehran, March 9, IRNA – Vice-President and Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali-Akbar Salehi said on Saturday that the United States recommended Iran to use nuclear energy in the former monarchical regime. Speaking to a group of Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) rank-and-file, Salehi presented an outline on the national program to produce nuclear energy and upgrade know-how in the civilian application of nuclear energy. Salehi, the former foreign minister, complained about media hype about administration of AEOI after he took the helm of the specialized organization./end
