Turkish Min.: Ankara Strongly Believes In Tehran Authority

Agri, Turkey, Nov 19, IRNA - Turkish Development Minister Cevdet Yilmaz said here on Monday that Ankara strongly believes in Tehran's authority in all arenas. Addressing a group of Iranian and Turkish economic, political and cultural elites in Ibrahim Chechen University, Yilmaz stressed that Ankara welcomes fostering ties with Tehran. He described Iran and Turkey as two powerful regional countries, adding the two sides enjoy vast potentials for fostering cooperation. Yilmaz also expressed hope that the value of two countries transactions would hit $30 billion in near future. Meanwhile, the visiting Iranian Vice-President for International Affairs Ali Saeedlou in a separate meeting with Yilmaz voiced Tehran's readiness to boost volume of its trade transactions with Ankara to $30 billion. He reiterated that increasing Iran-Turkey trade exchanges to such a level would be "beneficial to both countries"./end
