Rafael Aghayev claims Islamic Solidarity Games gold

Baku, May 13, AZERTAC Azerbaijani karate fighter Rafael Aghayev has become the champion of the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games. He secured the gold medal thanks to a victory over Pakistani Ghulam Abbas in the 75kg division final. President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, President of the National Olympic Committee Ilham Aliyev and family members watched the final bout. President Ilham Aliyev presented the medals to the winners. The national anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played and the flag was raised in honor of Rafael Aghayev.
