Thai PM has busy schedules in Japan

TOKYO, April 21 (TNA) - After the 4th Mekong-Japan Summit between leaders of five member countries of the Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS), including Thailand, and Japan came to an end today, Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra still has busy schedules on April 22 before she returns home. Yingluck and her entourage are scheduled to depart Tokyo’s Haneda Airport early Sunday morning for Fukuoka International Airport to attend a briefing on Japan’s bullet train and its safety system. The Puea Thai Party-led government has not yet decided whether to install the Chinese or Japanese technology on Thailand's new high-speed train systems, saying earlier that the administration may have to use the Chinese technology because of a memorandum of understanding between Bangkok and Beijing which was signed by the previous Democrat Party-led government. After attending the briefing, Yingluck plans to visit Japanese stores for community-based products in JR Hakata and Josai-en. The Thai prime minister and her entourage will then fly home from the Fukuoka International Airport and are scheduled to arrive at Thailand's main Suvarnabhumi International Airport at around 11:20pm.
