Italians To Stage Sit-In-Protest To Support Iran

Rome, May 1, IRNA – Italian citizens are to stage a sit in protest in front of US embassy in Rome on Saturday May 5 to condemn US warmongering policies as well as unfair economic sanctions imposed against Iran, it was announced on Monday. The move has been arranged by a political wing named “Towards Common Interests” in Rome. The spokesperson of the political party said the move aims to back Iran’s peaceful nuclear program as it believes that it is among Iran’s legitimate rights to follow the plan. Condemning the military campaign as well as various threats posed against Iran, the spokesperson said the protest is in line with respecting the territorial integrity of Italy. The sit in protest is to be held on Saturday May 5th between 10:30 am till 12:30 pm (local time) in front of US embassy in Rome./end
